The Boathouse Residency is a site-specific and self-directed residency that takes place in a simple boathouse studio. Participants will have the freedom to explore the fjord, experiment with new ideas, and engage deeply with the island’s unique environment. Water is both medium and metaphor, an inspiration for works that respond to shifting tides, changing weather, and the fluid nature of place.
Red Moon Studio welcomes applicants whose work engages with water, whether through movement, environment, material exploration, inner processes, or community-based practice relating to a sea world under threat.
Site-specific resources will be provided, tailored to the needs of each artist. The residency is free of charge and self-directed. The host will facilitate selected visits, introductions, or events in dialog with the chosen artist(s). Learn more…
